Questar 3.5 Standard
I finally was able (both financially and mentally) to purchase it in 2018:
Are there any other Questar owners out there who dare to come out of the closet?
If you're here, let's see your stuff!

Re: Questar 3.5 Standard
The views are absolutely stunning for a 3.5 inch catadioptric scope. The stars are bright pinpoints and the black sky background is the blackest that I've experienced. Time and time again, seeing permitted of course, I've been able to get far better magnification of the Moon's surface features than the normal rules of thumb for optics of this size. The Q is simply a beauty to behold, and it's views are fantastic. Add to that the incredible ease of use that the system provides, and it becomes a fabulous grab-and-go scope with very fast setup and teardown, offering a quick look almost any time you wish.
Thanks for asking!

Re: Questar 3.5 Standard
Congratulations: they are lovely scopes, but I have only played with 2... The build quality of the Questars make my old ETX90 look like a Model T vs a Rolls.smp wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 7:51 pm Here's a pic of the scope that I've waited much of my lifetime to acquire.
