New planets have flattened shapes 'like Smarties', study finds

This news reminds me of Hal Clement's SF novel "Mission of Gravity", about a planet which rotates in only 18 minutes, with its gravity varying from 3g at the equator to 700 g at the poles, and with the equatorial diameter more than twice the polar. So maybe not so fanciful after all!

Pretty much all planets are wider than tall due to their gravity.
I do not think I would like to be on one shaped like a Smartie though.
Some nice refractors, eyepieces, mounts and related equipment
The only culture I have is from yogurt
