S Type Night

#1

Finally, a night with above transparency though seeing was poor.
I noticed I have neglected my S Type star list, so I made it my priority for the night.
So this was my night:

S Type Stars:
S Uma ( S1* 452): In Ursa Major. Deep orange color. Around 8.8 mag.

R Cam (S1* 483): In Camelopardalis. Medium Orange color. Around 10.0 mag.

ST Her (S1* 496): In Hercules. Deep orange color. Around 7.6 mag.

OP Her (S1* 538): In Hercules. Medium orange color. Around 6.1 mag. In low power, this star is centered around a circle of six other white stars. A very nice view!

S1* 527: In Hercules. Light orange color. Around 11.0 mag.

V530 Lyr (S1* 561): In Lyra. Light orange color. Around 7.6 mag.

Symbiotic Stars:(Trying to keeps tabs on these two)
T CrB (AAVSO 1555+26): Symbiotic star. In Corona Borealis. Medium orange color. Estimated around 9.6 mag.

AG Dra (AAVSO 1601+67): Symbiotic star. In Draco. Medium orange color. Appears to dimmed to around 10.0 mag.

Carbon Stars:

U Lyr (AAVSO 1916+37): In Lyra. Medium orange in color. Around 10.4 mag. This is a double star, the Primary is the carbon. The Secondary is a faint white star, around 14.6.mag. Separation at 10.4”.Could not locate the secondary star until jumped magnification to 150x.

Jupiter: I finished the night with Jupiter. Observed at 150x with a half decent view. North and South belts visible. Castillo, Europa and Ganymede were hanging out. I miss those nights when it was orbiting at more of a northern altitude.
