David, first off...what a fantastic photo! Thank you for sharing it. Also thank you for sharing the File. I am using it as well as other images to practice with following Ivo's steps.
So that brings me to my dilemma. So far no matter what I have tried in the processing steps Ivo has laid out, with this or other photos, when I get to the "Psycho-Visual Grain Equalization De-Noise" step I can not "keep" the photo to continue. After the little in-progress clock finishes spinning in the bottom right corner of the screen, no matter how long I wait, the "Keep" button in the top left never highlights so that I can keep it and continue.
Can anyone chime in and let me know what to try? I have attached a couple of photos to show what I am talking about.
Maybe I should post this question in the StarTools forum...
Thanks,
Kerry

Same happened to me. If you hit the denoise button in the menu at left you are only doing a trial view. Hit "back" and then hit the "Tracking" button at top. That will stop the tracking and take you through the same denoise process but this time for real and allow you to keep.
I think that will sort you out. I dont have startools on this mchine so cant check the actual buttons for names and locations but you should be able to work it out.

Hi Steve. Thats a nicerendition. I like the Cigar particularly in yours.
Something I like about this hobby is how 2 different people can take the same data and come up with two very different images. And NEITHER of them is wrong!

Thanks David - Here is a version processed "more gently" with Pixinsight. I like this one better.
