I got my new EQ6-R Pro the one with the USB Port on the Head and on the Hand Controller.
I connect the SynScan GPS Module to the Hand Controller and it finds satellites and my correct location but not the correct Time Zone location.
I gave Day Light Saving set to No and the Offset set to 7 hours for Colorado.
While looking at the Moon with my eyes last night I set the Mount to go the the moon and it said it was below the horizon.
As long as I do not use the GPS Settings the Mount works great.
Is there and update or firmware to correct this or should I use the Mount using only UTC time?
Thanks
From page 3 of the manual: After setting time zone and daylight saving, the LCD of the hand control will display blinking text “GPS Fixing…”
This means you need to set those.
Some nice refractors, eyepieces, mounts and related equipment The only culture I have is from yogurt

Thank you, I have done this but it still sets the local time to UTC and not my local time.
I will play with it tonight before DST Starts being it changes tonight.

Just a stab in the dark here, do you/did you need to set the offset to -7 hours?
Regards
Graeme
Thanks and you know what I was setting it to + 7.
I think I am good to go now but will still do some more testing later this week.
Thank you for that! I just manually slewed in Jupiter with my new mount and stared at her for over 30 minutes, then decided to do GoTo the moon, it was below horizon! Not! Thank you! I was literally on the opposite side of the world, my offset is -6, I had set it to 6
