December 2019 Monthly Challenge

DECEMBER 2019 MONTHLY CHALLENGE!
Thank you once again for all the great suggestions that were put forward! Apologies for being late on the choosing. I've not got into the habit of maintaining the Monthly Challenge. See the topic here: https://www.theskysearchers.com/viewtop ... =84&t=5100
I threw all the suggested targets into a random drawing generator on the 'net and hit the go button (I entered Uranus 2× since it was voted on two times) and M78 was the object that was spat back at me.
MESSIER 78 (NGC 2068), Reflection Nebula in Orion, Magnitude +8.30
Messier 78 was discovered by Pierre Mechain in early 1790; Charles Messier added it to his catalog late that year.
M78 can be a challenging object to observe at first. It is often likened to a pair of car headlamps coming down a foggy road. A veryapt description. 
From my last observation of this object with a 6" refractor:

(Bright Nebula in Orion, mag 8.0, size 8' x 6')
Observed: Mar 16, 2018 at 22:13:31
Comment: A pair of fuzzy eyes staring back at me, and with averted vision a nice spread of nebulosity surrounding my pair of lights.
Equipment: Celestron C6-R, KK Ortho 18mm
