It was blue sky (for a while) here on the Isle of Wight. So I "lugged" out the Celestron 4SE and setup for some white-light Solar observing.
The images were captured with SharpCap Live Solar Stacking tool and a home-made Baader Solar Film OD5.0 filter as per usual. I had to remove some pesky dust rings and crop/resize in
I never realised, that while using SharpCap's live Solar tool, you can use the image area selection tool to just stack the selected portion of the Sun, while the rest of the image is "live" and unprocessed. Really cool! In the case of the image below I could see the clouds appear and saved the image, just in time The stacking framerate shot-up as I guess SharpCap is doing far less processing.
