New Image: monkey head nebula

Hi all I took this image last night using my Skywatcher 80ed with the 585 camera.I did 1 hour of 2 minutes of each image and processed in DSS,Adobe s2, Graexpert and affinity.I thought I would share.Thanks for looking.

Nice image Andy. I'm willing to bet you lost a good bit of faint, wispy nebulosity in your attempt to make the background so black. The night sky really isn't that black. Nice colors on the nebula though.

Thanks for the advice on the background,I have altered in Google photos,I think I have a bit more nebulosity on the right edge.

To really bring it out, you would probably have to start the processing over from your DSS output. Once you have converted your image to jpeg for the website, you have lost much of that data. I'm not sure if that is what you have done here, just reprocessing the jpeg from above?

Yes I just did the jpeg that I had in my Google photos and ammended slightly,I will take a look at the autosave in DSS and see if I can pull the data from there again.

Wonderful image Andy! I like the improvement in the second version (improved background).
