I'm probably going to be jinxing myself for putting this out there but we are planning on LiveStreaming the eclipse on YouTube if the weather cooperates for us.
I'll be visiting a friend of mine, Dr Clay Sherrod, in Arkansas and we will be broadcasting from his observatory which is only a couple of miles off the centerline of the eclipse. 4min16sec from his place.
Some of you may know of Dr. Clay as I call him from his days providing a SuperCharge service on Meade & Celestron SCT's via Arkansas Sky Observatories. I've known Dr. Clay for close to 20 years now and way back in the web 1.0 days I helped him with his website. He's a good ol' southern gent that happens to have studied with Carl Sagan. He even has an asteroid named after himself. Asteroid 117736 Sherrod.
As long as we have been friends, we've never actually met in person so this trip is going to be fun even if the weather doesn't cooperate for us.
And as a bonus, if the weather does work out, feel free to join us for the broadcast. I believe Dr Clay is going to do an introduction on camera but otherwise we will just have some cool space music playing in the background while we stream from his TEC130.
