Solar EAA 24th March 2024

Sunday afternoon and managed to get the Celestron 4se out again for some more Solar fun. Using an Altair Astro 294c colour camera and SharpCap, with the Live Planetary Stacking tool.
I had forgotten how the 4se chews through batteries! Pointed the scope South, and started to slew towards the Sun to perform an alignment and the scope ground to a halt! So, switched to a 12v power supply and recycled the batteries
Wow! Sunspot 3615 was huge and complex! Had a great time observing the Sun for about an hour. Had to wait now and again for those pesky clouds to float on through. The full-disk image has been de-dust-moted but the cropped image of sunspot 3615 is straight from SharpCap's live stacking, complete with dust-mote! Not sure about my choice of colouring (magnolia).
Have fun.
