Odysseus passes over the near side of the Moon following lunar orbit insertion on February 21st. The lander continues to be in excellent health in lunar orbit.

“ … Finally, about two hours later, Intuitive Machines provided more definitive information on the social media site X: "After troubleshooting communications, flight controllers have confirmed Odysseus is upright and starting to send data. Right now, we are working to downlink the first images from the lunar surface." … “
Congratulations to the Intuitive Machines Team for landing on the Moon!

Re: NASA, SpaceX, Intuitive Machines First Moon Mission
"Lunar Surface Day One Update (23FEB2024 0818 CST)
Odysseus is alive and well. Flight controllers are communicating and commanding the vehicle to download science data. The lander has good telemetry and solar charging.
We continue to learn more about the vehicle’s specific information (Lat/Lon), overall health, and attitude (orientation). Intuitive Machines CEO Steve Altemus will participate in a press conference later today to discuss this historic moment. Press conference information will be coordinated with NASA and published shortly."

Re: NASA, SpaceX, Intuitive Machines First Moon Mission
Has anyone seen any pictures from the spacecraft after it landed?

Re: NASA, SpaceX, Intuitive Machines First Moon Mission
They talked about a remote camera that was supposed to detach and take images as it landed. Nothing I've heard has mentioned it since it landed.

Re: NASA, SpaceX, Intuitive Machines First Moon Mission
Thanks for the update, at least the systems are working and science payloads can be deployed. Let's see what the next 9 days bring!AntennaGuy wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 4:23 am It tipped over, says:

I am waiting for the Eagle cam to be deployed, to bad it had to stay put during the landing phase, imagine the images of the lander touching down and gently tipping over! Who knows, without those cubesats on board at the time of touchdown the balance may have been a bit better and the tip over could have been avoided.
But still an amazing result for Intuitive machines.
