Don't give up just yet.
Sadly the weather gods have no regard for your best laid plans. But your time will come.

Having the same problem here, rain and more rain.
Eyeballs, binoculars, sketch box, Scopes n stuff.
Some people don't understand why I love astronomy so much, I cannot understand why they do not!

Typical weather here as well though I usually get at least one night a week, but it looks like it may not happen this week.

With all the bad weather I at least have time to rebuild 2 mounts and get my 200P 8" Dob mounted in my newly rebuilt Meade 853 EQ mount, I tried one night of planetary imaging with the Dob, royal PITA, never again until I build a tangent arm for it.

It's been overcast for the last week and a half. Started the day my new mount arrived.

Climate change has surely affect my area... record amounts of rain. Clouds followed by more clouds. I'm averaging one astronomy night every 6 weeks... and inevitably clouds on New Moon days. <sigh> And it's precisely this reason I haven't bought an expensive scope and I shoot all my images in color rather than R,G.B.

This is still 3 days away...but a guy can dream. There was a day when I used to dream about girls. I hate getting old.
