Just came across this article in my morning trapline. Yes, it is about mushrooms but it does point out a disturbing trend. I sometimes think we are headed for a time when it will be difficult to tell what is real and what is nonsense - something our species seems to have trouble with already :P

Has anyone encountered astronomy books created by AI?

A worrying time indeed!

It is bad enough that an unlearned youtuber with an opinion is seen as just as informed as the Profs and PHDs that have put in years of research!

Now the computers are writing the books from made made up nonsense, as you say. Even when someone dies from eating the wrong mushroom, it will continue.

I was listening to a Fraser Cain podcast the was discussing the same issue.
