Original BJ scope can it be saved?

I think this is the proper BJ scope that most fear , I have never used one where the corrector is the front lens
This one the front lens is broken , can one still get replacements and is it worthwhile fixing it , is it any better than say a similar SCT or Mak ?

Corrector replacement will be impossible to find. Even for common SCT models, because it is the first thing which breaks and from what I hear vendors don't sell corrector replacements.

Thanks I thought so can one perhaps place a barlow /corrector in the focus tube , like all the other new BJ scopes?

Let's say it works. You will still need to install spider or some other means to hold the secondary mirror in place.

Oka someone just sent me that picture so have not actually seen the scope , but yes forgot about that , thanks scope is therefore of virtually 0 value and cant be saved , pity this is one of the few scopes that I have never used or looked thru

I may be wrong but looking online it seems the glass plate is not a actual corrector but plate glass to hold the secondary.
Making a single stalk to hold the secondary may work if that is the case.
Is there a doublet lens in the focuser tube?
