I found this site” Big Think “ and I enjoy the articles, not only that they have an audio version of it so if you have to drive somewhere you can listen to this article, very fascinating!

Hi Frank. A very nice article about the expanding universe. I saw something like this covered on the cable TV Science Channel "How the Universe Works" series shows last month. I was going to send you a PM with the link to the YouTube videos to put up on here, but they are only a few minutes long and to see the entire show episodes you need a subscription. I wasn't sure if you or our forum members would like this extra expense so I never sent it. Also, those members who have a cable TV service which includes the Science Channel could possibly use a type of "on demand" feature to see these past episodes anyway. However, thanks for finding and sharing this interesting link with us on here Frank and keep up your great Astronomy information sources reporting work.

Thanks for the link. That's pretty dreary. Better enjoy it while we can.

You might want to take it with a grain of salt - Siegel shows a definite bias in his cosmology. I'm not saying he's wrong (or right), he just has a... preferred path.

Richard Feynman had an interesting comparison about the cosmological principle that is the basis of all cosmological models. That principle says that the universe is homogenous and isotropic. He said that the cosmological principle is equally valid as parachuting down at a random place on Earth, landing in, say, a patch of birch trees, then claiming that therefore the entire earth is covered with birch trees. In the case of the universe, all we can see is just the observable part, which is a tiny sliver of the entire universe for all we know, just like how the patch of birch trees is not representative of the rest of Earth's surface. Dark energy can just be a local abnormality of spacetime curvature in the observable universe that is not at all representative of the rest of the universe. Any statement about the dynamic nature of these models - bouncing, static or accelerating / expanding - is therefore speculative to put it mildly. Our observations are highly uncertain, too; when New Horizons measured a much darker background than near Earth, the estimated number of galaxies had to be increased by a factor 10 - this was only 2 years ago.
