yes you are right, I have one or two mounts in mind.

Celestron Advanced VX

Sky-Watcher HEQ5 Mount
it is also said that it can be put on a cg-4 as it weighs only 16 pounds.

but i know you are right about that.
You can give it a try with cg-4, but I fear it will be a shaky experience. Here is my setup with CG-5 equivalent (30lb) and the mount handled the scope just barely. Because of the weight distribution and OTA length of ~100 cm the frac exhorts more force than heavier but more compact scope.

what do you think of my two mount suggestions?
Either should work fine and both have good following.

Lady Fraktor wrote: Fri Feb 03, 2023 3:50 am I use a ASGT, precursor to the AVX and a manual CG-5 with a 150 mm f/8 that weights 13 kg (29 lb) without issue and movement/ tracking is smooth.
Both mounts that you have listed should work well but some people say the Skywatcher is slightly better.
Gabby do you use pier extensions with your mounts?

With the ASGT & CG-5 I do not use pillars, I install internal counterweights so that the telescope tube is far enough up in the rings that I do not have to do gymnastics or fear the telescope will strike the tripod.

I would like to thank,

Bigzmey , Lady Fraktor and John Baars .

Thank you so much for your help .
I should have some news on Monday from Germany for the cost of transport and the telescope.
I believe that the ts 125mm will take the direction of canada shortly.
thanks again much appreciated.

I would suggest a Vixen 115 mm or the Teleskop-Service Photoline or Teleskop-Service CFF refractors.
If interested in the Astro-Tech I would look at the 125EDL as well.
finally I chose the TS 125 mm f7/8 since astro-tech does not really want to sell it in canada.
with a delivery charge of 800 $ us, we can say that they do not want to sell it.
it costs me $200 Canadian from Germany including customs fees.
so the choice was easy.
thank you for your help.

I would go with an iOptron CEM40 myself, but that's just because of my personal experience with both Celestron and iOptron mounts.
I've owned an AVX, CGX and now iOptron CEM70.
