I saw the year change in some of the threads.
I also noticed that the first author of these threads had changed?
and that the post count has been reset.
during the last change none of this happened.
I would like to understand.
thank you .

I read last year and I understand very well.
but that does not explain why the names of the people who started these threads disappear, as does the count of visits.

Before we came out with the annual thread system, we have trimmed some of the threads by manually removing older posts. As an example original "What have you been up to lately" was started by Mark (Thefatkitty) but the older posts were removed, so It starts with Greenman post now.

I understand, but I think the person who starts a thread should keep their name as the topic starter.
It's my point of view .

just an idea,
maybe ask the person who started the thread, if they want to continue doing it ?

It will not work in a long run. Again, just to give you examples, people who started Clean, fun jokes and Show Us Your Great Meals topics are no longer active on the forum.
