As the title says, the new scope arrived today. This scope is WAY bigger than my SvBony but I think I'm gonna love this one. I'm glad I have the EQ6-R mount coming because I don't think my Az/GTe will be too happy with this scope. I'm no expert but I don't think the Az/GTe will be sturdy enough to hold this scope steady. Now, having said that, if the weather holds out this weekend I'll set it up on the Az/GTe to at least get the finder scope dialed in and then see what happens. Anyway, here's a quick picture...

Congrats on your new glass Bill, that's awesome!

Don't even try to put it on Az/GTe, unless you want to kill that little mount. EQ6-R would be a perfect match.

I have had many Bresser telescopes in the past and they were always good quality.
At f/9.4 you should get some very nice views

Super nice new scope. Should offer some great views!

That should be an awesome performer as long as you're not too sensitive to CA. CA will get worse as you crank up the power. I had a 127mm refractor once and it gave very nice views. It was a f/6.5.
