With the diminishing star-count due to this problem, finding patterns for object location becomes a greater issue when using typical 10x or even 8x binoculars.

This Kowa 6.5x32 model has a 10° field of view, and are my first choice when observing from the backyard, before going to a higher power unit.

Those look pretty good. Plus I imagine easier to hold with just your arms.
