Hi Frank. This looks like a great starter scope. It is priced right, light enough to carry out and setup easily, as well as having some nice features to enjoy for many years. Thanks for posting this Frank and the very best of regards.

I started with a Celestron 130 slt and think it is a great scope to start with and good value. I even did some astrophotography with it.

I've moved on now but still use the OTA.

Interested to hear what scopes others have used to get started.

I started with a c-80, in time it was very good.
it served me well to love the sky and its jewels.
since that time I have been a frac fanatic.
long life to the refractor.

the mount looks rather weak certainly only for a phone but may work ok some phones are amazing , just dont touch after you get focus , may shake for some time

130 f5 is a decent scope, wide field, no CA.
