This one is long overdue, i finished collecting the data a few weeks ago for it...

it is 18 hrs total in two panels with sii,ha,oiii 3nm filters at 1180mm fl

I think it will be the last of the big nebulas for me, it is galaxy and planet season soon .

enjoye

That's incredible! Usually with narrowband images like this the stars are all purple or green but yours look natural. The clarity is amazing. Do you have an Astrobin account?
TSS APOD worthy for sure.

cheers,i do have an astrobin account, i usualy just put large mosiacs on there as you are limited to 10 images without a subsciption, i don't realy use it much unless i'm snooping for a target and gear people are using .

Hi Rob. A superb 2 panel mosaic of M16 (Eagle Nebula) with no signs of stitching. Excellent contrast, well framed, lots of dust clouds (including the Pillars of Creation) and nebulosity color details in your capture. You have it all here with this work Rob and congratulations on receiving the well deserved TSS APOD Award today.

The colors for this narrowband image are very nicely balanced with the blue dominating nicely in the center of the image. I really like it.

Congrats on the award!
