New Cat Coming!

I was looking at refractors, but realized my herd was missing a C5!
I found a brand new one in a small NJ camera store. It should be here Wednesday 🙂

It will be perfect on the Vixen Porta Mount ll, it never really got along with the C6.

Yes, I've rarely used my MK66 on the Porta II. You need the touch of a safecracker to get the balance right but it's barely doable so rarely done. Have fun!

Nice deal Jeff, that really looks like a fun scope! At 6lbs, it should work well with your mount too. I'm impressed you were able to find one, and there Wednesday to boot!
Of course, now you've probably incurred the wrath of the cloud-gods... Let's hope not!

And also, if it comes with a case, you might run into my problem....

One day maybe I'll mount the furry CAT and see how that works out for me.... ;)

Good for you Jeff, and looking forward to your impressions and thoughts of it!

All the best,

Nice! Those little C5s look pretty cool and handy for travelling with perhaps. Hope it doesn't bring you too many clouds!

Yeah, no kidding! And I hope your scope shows up tomorrow!

BTW, mounting the furry CAT might be all well and good, but in thinking about it, which end does the diagonal go into?? :o

All the best,

Why am I not surprised; sorry to hear that. "They" have been the bane of my observing existence for some time now too as well. My days are clearer than my nights, but only when I'm at work. The minute I park that Ranger....

Hope it clears for you and that nice scope!

All the best,
