Messier imaging - will start again

I was going to ask whether using remote "subscription" scopes would be acceptable for this award as I have imaged all 110 objects with the Slooh telescope array. I am a big proponent of remote scopes since my stroke and other health issues, however on consideration I decided that I will do the award with my own gear from both my Bortle 7.5-8 backyard and my astronomy clubs site (www.theskyscrapers.org) I have more than 30 images of the Messiers that I have taken over the last few years and will start with those and then do more.

I have been doing mostly solar imaging, you may have seen my stuff on the solar imaging thread. I have been looking for something that will get me out behind the scope and this is it.

I do a much better job with the Slooh images vs. my own pitiable attemps, amazing what big scopes and really dark skies can do vs my setup.

Certainly have seen your stuff on the Solar Imaging threads! It is quality. I look forward to seeing your Messier images too.

Good luck with the new back yard Messier project.

Regards

Graeme

my backyard DSO's are nowhere near my solar images, they are rather poor, but identifiable
