Vixen APZ owners?

#1

Any Vixen APZ Advanced Polaris owners there? Seems a bit pricey, but supposedly can be easily converted into an EQ. I've seen load capacities listed at 6kg and also 8kg?

The weight capacity is 8kg if used manually and reduces to 6kg if using the motor modules.
I have had my eye on this for a while now as a lightweight travel EQ.
I really like the modular design.

Someone over on CN has even figured out how to connect the Starbook 10 controller to it for full goto.
Some nice refractors, eyepieces, mounts and related equipment

Do you happen to know what the center column mounting bolt size is? M5?

Thanks.

I believe it is either a M10 or 3/8"
You could email Barry at Vixen Optics/ Star Guy and ask to confirm.

Oops. My bad. M5 is way too small.
