Great! I'll let you know the next time we do a test. We are testing out a few different options before going full-blown live with an organized event.

Any updates?

My local astronomy club has gone to Google Meets and so far even the electronically challenged have been making a go of it.

Sorry for the delay. Life and bad weather got in the way. I'm hoping to do another test soon, possibly the next clear evening. Stand by. Maybe I'll try Google Meets.

I just looked into Google Meets. It seems as though after March 31st, they will have a 60-minute time limit on meetings with over 3 participants.
Hopefully, we have some clear weather between now and then and can give it a try. Of course, we'll be dealing with a bright moon. But not a problem if you are able to image in narrowband.

Skies are looking clear tomorrow night. I realize it's a nearly full moon but I might set up and do some backyard testing and give Google Meets a try. If the weather prediction is true, I'll post a link here.

OK, tonight, Monday, March 29th at 8:30 pm PST (3:30 am UT Tuesday) I'm going to go live again. I realize it's a nearly full moon but I'll be imaging from my backyard which is a Bortle 8-9 sky anyway. I'll be doing some Ha imaging.
I'd love to have as many as possible join in. Even better, if you are able to go live too and share your screen with images from your scope, that would be awesome. https://meet.google.com/wpt-jpfw-dfj

Hopefully we can give it a try again some time.

It's 8:30pm PST 03/31 and I decided to set up tonight. If anyone is interested in joining in live, post here and I'll set up a Google Meets meeting.
I'm imaging NGC2175 right now.
Using NINA.

Disappointed that I missed it. CN has an announcement thread for live EAA events. If there's enough activity, maybe TSS needs one for those people who don't always check all subforums? Or maybe an e-blast list if ppl don't mind sharing their email addresses?

We could set up a 'notifications' list of those interested.

Wassan the Horrible, no worries, I will be doing more in the near future. At the moment, I'm hoping to go live again tomorrow night (Friday, 04/02) around the same time.
I'm getting my 2nd vaccine shot tomorrow morning though so I'm not sure just yet if I'll be feeling up to it. If so, I'll post a link here and maybe to a new thread if Gordon and associates haven't set up some other type of notification system yet.

Hey folks,
Gordon has set up a new usergroup that will allow you to get an email notification any time we are doing a live "Star Party".
I plan to give everyone as much of a heads up as possible before going live (12hrs) but there may be occasions when I just decide at the last minute, so don't be surprised if you get the email notification right when I'm going live.

Also, of course, I'm hoping this becomes a regular thing and is open for anyone else that wants to join in and share their views. If you need help or advice on how to do it, I'm happy to assist. Feel free to join me anytime and ask how-to questions while we chat.
If you just want to listen in or watch what's happening, that's great too! But I'd love to have other observers helping out.

I'm planning to go live tomorrow night (Friday, April 2) o join the usergroup now and you'll get a notification tomorrow afternoon.

Here's how to join the new usergroup: Members can join the group by just going to their UCP (user control panel), click on the "usergroups" tab, and they will see the AP Live group listed in their "Non-Membership" area. They can click on the "select" button then click on "join selected" at the bottom of the page. That's it.
