A very strange day, we had periods of sun, rain, hail, snow, wind and more sun! It can't make up it's mind

The entire last year has just been weird. Looking back at last summer (2023), it is like we skipped a month. August is usually hot, humid and generally miserable, but we didn't get that at all. We got cold early and that lasted about two weeks. February is usually our coldest month, but even that was pretty mild and spring came early. Who knows what this year will bring.

This was my day after the rather intense snowfall last night. BTW, it's April 4th....

I thought last year was bad as far as observing goes, but looks like this year will top that. Since the end of November I only managed one observing session in January. Every weekend clouds, rain, clouds. At least we are saving water, as our irrigation has been turned off for months.

It's been raining for a week here in lovely NJ. The "soil" is mostly sand here by the coast, so at least we don't have mud or much flooding.

Mid-50s, overcast, intermittent rain showers. Supposed to be mostly clear for the eclipse tomorrow, but we'll see.
