Take yesterday for example, 27ºC, clear skies all day, I even sunburnt my back on the beach
You live on the beach.
Water vapour from the ocean cools and condenses into cloud at night. Stays condensed in the morning, heats up by afternoon so you can sunburn your back, then cools and condenses into cloud again at night. Won't be cloudy every night but most nights.
If you want clearer skies, move to a drier inland climate far away from oceans or large inland water bodies.

Man I have the same problem. Got a new scope, several doodads to go with it and I sit waiting for a clear night. Beautiful cloudless days and overcast cloudy nights.
I thought it was just me. I'm glad to know that I am not suffering alone.
I seem to have got my first telescope 10th Jul. Still haven't got a chance to see anything. Not even the moon.
If this is of any consolation for anyone...
It's not the clouds, first it was the moon being below horizon and light sky, and now the frigging rains.
