Explore Scientific ED152 CF APO, ZWO2600MC - Gain 100, Offset 50, Temp 0°
45x120sec = 90 minutes integration time.

Captured with NINA, Processed with PixInsight

Shot from latitude 35° where this subject never gets higher than 12° above the horizon.

That's amazing Greg, especially for being so low on the horizon. The detail and colour is fantastic; I'm with Jean-Yves, APOD worthy for sure!

Thanks. It started at about 10°, rose to its peak of 12°, then ended up again at 10°.
My next attempt from the same location will be Omega Centauri, which only peaks at 7° on the meridian. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment! :icon-smile:

Hi Greg,

Superb image particularly in view of the maximum altitude.
The Andromeda galaxy has a similar peak altitude from my
location so I understand your limitations. You only have about
3 hours at the top of it's transit arc to collect your data.
