I have not tried them but the reviews I have read they are adequate.
Better a proper Plossl if looking for a 52°FOV instead of 6 elements in 3 groups or is there something specific you are looking for?

I would not place much faith in this review.
when Tyler wrote it he was just beginning in the hobby (literally only out a couple of times)
so was still learning his equipment let alone evaluating eyepiece quality.

Since ES52 have similar FOV to Plossls and some Orthos, the main benefit would be longer eye relief.
I don't have a hands on experience with ES52, but I can highly recommend Vixen SLVs. SLVs have sharpness of Orthos and 20mm eye relief. Since I acquired them I have pretty much stopped using Plossls and Orthos.

Excellent points Bigzmey.
I enjoy the Vixen SLV series as well.
Other than better eye relief or assuming gas filled is something special any 50/52°AFOV will do.
If interested in 60°AFOV eyepieces check Siebert Optics, he makes some nice eyepieces that I have enjoyed for years.
Pricing is comparable toES 52°

they are very good, mainly for the planetary.
Maybe I'm wrong, I see that they are out of stock. Not sure if they will reappear.
When I used them I found that they were very close to the televue radians.
