Re-processed Image: NGC 896 "Fish Head Nebula"

Post by BigKahuna »

Here is a re-process of NGC 896, the "Fish Head Nebula" (ie... the bottom tip of the Heart Nebula). I originally shot it using my 6" Reflector and Canon T6 DSLR in November 2022. The original process was bad. Really Bad. :icon-smile: Tonight, I was going over old data on my computer and decided to try it again using Pixinsight. I was able to bring out color other than the super red of the original processing.

This is the original image from November 2022. I told you it was bad, but the data was ripe for reprocessing. I'm glad I did.
