April 8th Eclipse Temperature graph

#1

Post by AstroBee »

Here's something a little different regarding the April 8th Total Solar Eclipse. I had my PegasusAstro Ultimate PowerBox v2. running during the morning of the eclipse and taking temperature readings every 10 seconds.
This is a graph I made from the data output in an Excel spreadsheet. It is interesting to see the max dip lag behind the actual totality by a few minutes. The very strange gain in temp on the far left of the graph is because my mount was in the shade until around 11am local time.

That's a great use of the Pegasus Temperature recording log.

That is the one thing I meant to do and forgot to do, watch the temp change. I would guess there was a ten or twelve degree drop.

That's really neat Greg! Between the videos and pictures and now this, you've got that eclipse well documented!

Very interesting, thanks for the share! :D
