Call upon the entrepreneurial community to come up with a solution requiring a relative modicum of lift capacity, more likely than the bureaucratic organizations/companies.

The sample return tech & funding was an afterthought me thinks,

Purposefully though, the samples are completely safe until the journey home is overcome.

NASA also saved 50 percent of the Moon rocks collected from the Apollo missions for future scientists with better tech than exists today.

I would not be surprised if the same thing is done here and half the discoveries I mean samples are shelved for future research as well.
