TSS Photo of the Day

Total Eclipse April 8, 2024

#1

Post by gcisko »

I just got back from Missouri and tried a quick process of some of my images. I quickly found I have no idea how to process an eclipse image. This is a stack (using Sequator) of 9 images using the settings listed below. I was using my SonyA7 with an ancient 200mm telephoto lens on a graphite tripod, NO TRACKING!

The purple/pink are hints of a prominence which I was able to see with the naked eye.

Camera: Sony A7 with Auto Tele-Lentar 1:3.5 200mm lens
Settings: F/8, ISO 50, 1/100 Sec exposure
Image source: 9 subs, stacked with Sequator & cropped
Date: 4/8/2024
Location: Poplar Bluff, Missouri
