Thanks, Gordon. Really loved Tuscon and the desert was beautiful from all the rain. On the next trip out hope to test some of the surrounding dark skies and head up Mt. Lemmon (there was snow up there on this trip).Gordon wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 7:50 pm Congratulations Steve on having your image selected as our TSS APOD!

Yeah, this has been a tough winter for me as well. Normally in the winter here in Southern California we'll get a series of dry desert winds that give us some nice clear nights. Not this year. I thought a visit to the Arizona desert would be my ticket but was just barely able to squeeze in two nights. I can't complain too much. Days were beautiful and the desert wildflowers were getting primed to put on quite a show. Guess I'll have to focus on taking pictures of flowers!Jockinireland wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 12:59 pm Its good to see someone actually getting data - I've not had a clear sky since January and It seems many others are just as bad.
Or at least one clear day in April...
Honestly I'm stating to lose all hope!
I'll be retiring in the next few years and theres a few ideas rattling around. So I may well add that one to the pile.
