Way back around 2006, I started my first M110 contest images for the old Astronomy Forum.
I was using a Meade etx70 alt az telescope with a Meade DSI2 camera. I was only taking single images with no stacking just a bit of post processing in Nebulosity.
Just for kicks I decided to post both images here. My plans is to recapture all 110 of the Messier objects using the SeeStar S50 and no post processing. It should be a fun adventure.
Here's an example of what M1 looked like for both the old way and the new way.
