I have 7x20 and 8x25, at 10x and one eye, the image will be more difficult to view steadily, so a compact bino would prove more useful at that mag.

Depends on your budget and how picky you are. The Bushnell Forge 42mm are truly superb for both day and nighttime use. Razor sharp and contrasty across the whole

Nice and sharp and contrasty in the centre but with some falloff in sharpness towards the edges at 1/4 the price of the Forges.
