I observe the sunspots using my 15x70 binoculars with Baader white light filters made from A4 sheet. I draw a circle on paper or card and plot the sizes, positions and shapes of the sunspots
I use Powerpoint (comes with Microsoft Office). I originally used a blank and drew sunspots on top. I now use the previous drawing and move and change the shape of the sunspots. I copy to
I use this method when it is cloudy but clear enough to make out sunspots or when I am busy and only have time for a quick shot.
