APM lens in cell modification
I will have to think of something new to call it since it is definitely no longer a Celestron.
Report on the add on lens will be delayed...priorities
The annoying part is that the sky conditions will be perfect again but we are leaving at 09:00 for Praha.
Praha Rocks tomorrow!

Things should slow down a bit sometime around November. Tourists and motocycles, never dull moments!
I have seen the clock may times. My brother lives within walking distance of old town and there are some good shops there.

Re: APM lens in cell modification
The new lens cell is also designed for a sliding dewshield. I have come to the conclusion that instead of a press fit, I will make a wrap around from plastic sheet and velcro closure.
I will then have to make a lightweight dewshield cap possibly with a
During a quick test the new lens operated very well on the lunar surface. Unfortunate that Jupiter and Saturn are not around to test the lens.

Re: APM lens in cell modification
Though the 152 mm is only a doublet of FK-61/ LaK-53 it only produced colour in view as I focused on a object.
Once focused there was no disernable colour shown. Colours were very slightly softer/ paler than the 105 mm and quite pleasing.
On the lunar terminator I had to push the magnification above 50x / " to have it start to show even a slight touch of violet.
So far I am quite impressed with the performance and am looking forward to a good night spent with it.
Looking at pines 100 m away during the daylight, I have to look quite had to see any fringing along the branches.
