New Image: 24-Day Composite

I had some time to kill early Friday morning so I practiced getting my directions while straight looking through my eyepiece. It is easy to tell north from south on the moon, but I have to keep reminding myself on double stars. I was using my SCT. I took the picture at prime focus, but visually viewed the target with the diagonal in place. It is a simple exercise, but good to remind myself from time to time,

The lunar picture is a composite of three frames, each taken at ISO100 and 1/15 of a second shutter speed. I used a C11 and Canon 80D.

Hi Rob. A superb lunar image using your C11 telescope and Canon 80D at prime focus. Mare Imbrium, Sinus Iridum, the Carpathian Mountains and Crater Copernicus all show up well as do other surface features along the terminator.
