It's more of a repository for members and non-members to store and show off their work. Also if the poster is diligent in recording all aspects of the image acquisition process then it is also a great resource for learning what works plus and what all the different equipment can do.

Exactly the reason that I signed up. Not only is AB a safe and secure (copyright protection), and like you mentioned, all capture data is there for reference.
Also, I get the opportunity to see work done by some of the best astrophotographers in the world.

Hi Frank. I always look at the astrophotography images from our members and click on it if there is a link to the AstroBin (or flickr) sites, as the image is much larger than that of those here on TSS. This is because we are a full service forum with lots of topics, posts, texts, links, and images. Therefore we have a limited total storage space for everything that we feature.
