I'll think i will put the post here, i don't think there has been a new ap challenge in little while.
i'm still working out what are the best filter per channel ..
the data has been saved as tiff and alighned with pixinsight and added to google drive to make it a bit easier for people to download, it is a little bit of a mission to find the data, this youtuber will guide you on how to do so if you wish to browse other objects ( theres some bug with fits for what ever reason it dosn't work)
Thanks for posting this here @yobbo89 Rob. Yeah I rather lost my Mojo wththe AP Challenge - there was not much uptake in the challenge the last few times so I thought I would leave it a bit then try to revive it later in the year- Perhaps this will do the job!
I'd not intended to download JWST the data - I did not really think I'd be able to improve on what are simply amazing images. But now you have done put them up like this I'll download and see just how badly I can muck it up!!

That looks good, what do you think is going on in the centre of the bright stars?

maybe some artifact from the stacked data, it might be due to the star saturation , maybe it's the secondary mirror causing, i don't know, a few people on instagram and some youtubers have manage to remove it in post . it's not present on all the data, only a select few of the filters .

Do you know how there are removing it. The only way I can think would be healing brush in photoshop. And that would be a right pain in the proverbial!
