Yeah, it was pretty nice. We still had some sky glow from a major metro area 2 hours away but the Milky Way was stellar! It was a great night of viewing even for a noob like myself.

Thanks, I appreciate it! This little stand serves its purpose very well. I think it makes the scope even more portable and comfortable for viewing.
I was initially putting the scope on an small metal table that was a bit higher in my back yard. Besides having to stand and view everytime I moved the scope for tracking or focused the scope would shake. The stand has made everything very stable and much easier to use and enjoy.
Hopefully things will clear up soon in Florida for you so you can get out and see our beautiful universe!
