I was shooting 20 second 16bit SER files with a 10 second pause between clips, but the ROI was very small, only 700x500 pixels, so the individual clips were about 800MB. About 40 images total.
I don't keep the raw data after I process it but I think it was about 50GB total including the data captured for the full disk shot. I literally trash everything except the final image when I'm finished processing it unless there's something I see that might require some extra work, like a potential flare. I run a 2TB external SSD drive for the captures.
