New Image: Low tech M31

st now
I set my DSLR to 300mm focal length, ISO 6400 and 2 seconds exposure. I started off with a set of dark frames. I used these 10 frames plus 10 from September 9th.



I took some shots of the Andromeda Galaxy (M31).

Thanks for sharing.

2s @ 300mm? I presume that short an exposure was because it was untracked on a fixed tripod then stacked?

I have no means of tracking. I was hoping to have a bit more cash for kit but I was made redundant recently.

Thanks, Joe. It's not a total disaster, as I have my pensions, which are more than an unemployed person on benefits gets. As I don't know how long I will be out of work for, I need to delay any purchase.
