Wonderful job Kathy!
I spent an evening on this target myself a week or so ago and I'm struggling terribly with the stars. You did a great job!

Thanks!

I almost always separate the stars after the initial stretch, using Starnet. That way, I can do additional stretching on the nebula without affecting the stars.

In this case, I processed some RGB frames and extracted the stars from them, discarding the background. I then used the stars from the Ha image as a luminance layer for the RGB stars, because the Ha stars tend to be the tightest of any filter. That gave me small, tight, understated RGB stars to add back into the image once I was happy with the nebula.
