When I turn on the compass on my iphone it automatically gives me the coordinates for my location and time, maybe yours already has this feature?

My Android phone compass does this also, along with elevation. (Good grief, I am at -77 ft; no wonder I live along a tsunami evacuation route!)

The app mentioned has the advantage of displaying all the necessary information in the exact order and format used by the SynScan. The user still has to input everything manually. It should take no more than 2-3 minutes to input the info, but some obviously appreciate the convenience enough to justify the expense of a GPS module. But not me -- I'm saving for that f/13.5 refractor, heh heh!
