June 21st – 28th, 2025. The Kaibab Lodge is a half hour North of the Grand Canyon and has very good skies (Bortle 0 according to someone who measured it) so long as there are no clouds. You can camp free in the forest. You can also stay at the DeMotte campground or the Kaibab Lodge (ask for a 10% discount). There is a road in front of the meadow where we observe so it's not perfect but pretty good altogether. This is synchronized with the Grand Canyon North and South Rim star parties so you can also check out the star party at the Grand Canyon Lodge.
