Re: First-ever video/audio of meteorite impact

That's really cool! Thanks for sharing.
I was hoping to hear the meteorite whizzing through the air, but it's wild that you can actually see it on the video in one frame, mid air.

Great shots Bob. It was too low to clear my roof or I would have taken a shot at it too.

What a fantastic, seamless mosaic. I guess I never realized the Spaghetti Nebula was so close to the Tadpoles. APOD recommendation for me too.

Re: Lunt HA 50mm double stack first light – total awesomeness!

That's great. And exactly what I expected. I started out with the Lunt 80mm single-stack and was thrilled by the views both visually and photographically. Then a good friend showed up with the exact same scope but the double pressure-tuned model. Talk about being blown away looking through each ...

Re: DeepSkyStacker Crashing - With Video!

I just looked at your files on the Google Drive. I picked two random Lights and downloaded them and opened them up in PaintShopPro. The files are fine in that they are not corrupt. They opened fine. The issue with DSS may be I'm sad to say the image quality is too poor for DSS to recognize stars to ...

Re: DeepSkyStacker Crashing - With Video!

I'm not too familiar with DSS but did I read correctly that you are trying to run DSS on the CR3 files while still on your SD card?
If so, that's a no-no. You need to copy the files to your harddrive to process. It is possible that DSS, like other programs, needs a huge cache location to do swapping ...

<.55A is Lunt double-stack territory. That's a really great price for that scope.
